We make touch and eye tracking based assistive technology for people with communication and mobility challenges. The success of our products has life-changing impact on our customers. Our Production and Supply Chain Team helps to further the mission by ensuring our products come to life.
Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for developing and maintaining company inspection reports as well as Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards. Ensuring test equipment used in the processes, the goods and products comply with company standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to organize and help identify requirements for features for future product releases and to ensure that products function properly and meet the needs of our customers.
- Documenting quality deviations and errors found from Returns, or Production failures.
- Identifying and resolving workflow and production issues.
- Root Cause analysis on issues found and report it in properly.
- Ensuring that standards and safety regulations are observed.
- Performing routine inspections and quality tests.
- Addressing and discussing issues and proposed solutions with superiors.
- Assist in the compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
- Documenting quality assurance activities in system
- Be part of audit team and creating audit reports.
- Making recommendations for improvement.
- Creating training materials and operating manuals
- Testing the finished product & IQC
- Perform various other quality assurance tasks, across products and platforms, as assigned.
- Assist in the Customer Returns part analysis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 2-3 years of experience in Quality field.
- Methodical approach to problem solving.
- Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
- Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar field.
- Independent and can manage administrative tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Degree preferred.
- Certificate in quality assurance is a plus.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- COMPUTER OR TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Jira, Master Control is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodology is a plus.
- OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and other members of an organization, as well as independently on project tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- See, talk, and hear.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk.
- Manual and finger dexterity
- Able to feel and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds on occasion.
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work with interruptions in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work at a desk for prolonged periods of time.
- This role is in- person in Pittsburgh PA
